reading my personal statement again. i am so lame. i managed to reference plath and ian curtis and have a whole paragraph on my interest in suicide inc. a bit about this presentation i did on how absinthe and chemistry and psychology led to the suice of van gogh, a v. interesting topic, this boy in my class said it was ‘well sick’. my favourite phrase is ‘ignited my passion for the career’. my opening line however, is excellent, ‘What began as curiosity into why people act the way they do quickly developed into a keen interest in the subject of psychology’. personal statements are the worst things to write ever.
